Inline Fan and Filter Housing – Without Carbon Filter and Controller

The CarbonActive Inline Unit concept consists of a metal fan box in which fan and filter are installed together. The unit can therefore be placed outside the room to be ventilated, saving the space that fan and filter would otherwise take up inside. Only an extraction duct needs to be run into the room; filtration then takes place in the inline unit.

CarbonActive also uses the filter differently: activated carbon filters are normally run in suction mode, which with longer filters means the carbon at the top is used up much faster than at the bottom. In the Inline FilterUnit an even pressure is built up over the whole unit, so the carbon filter is used evenly from top to bottom, giving noticeably better filtration and a longer filter life. The unit can be fitted with CarbonActive Granulate or Standard filters, and double filtration is possible with an additional filter on the intake duct.

The built-in fan is the latest generation of EBM Papst EC fans, steplessly controllable without annoying noise and building up around four times the pressure of a conventional AC fan.
